OSPAAAL: La Organización de Solidaridad de los Pueblos de Asia, África y América Latina
(Solidarity Organization of the Peoples of Asia, Africa and Latin America)
Winter 1972-73

International soliarity organization founded in 1966 by the First Tricontinental Conference to promote the rights of all people and oppose neo-liberal globalization. Headquartered in Havana, Cuba, OSPAAAL produced the international magazine Tricontinental, known for its clever poster inserts ridiculing US domination. Print and publishing collective Peoples Press produced an edition of Tricontinental for North American audiences, which I designed. Through this solidarity exchange, I worked two months in the OSPAAAL design department, producing a poster in solidarity with Puerto Rico, the only North American to produce a poster at OSPAAAL.
